Build for the future, not only for today.
The problem
People can spend years working hard while remaining trapped inside short-term cycles. The long game replaces the question What can I gain today? with What am I building through the decisions I make today?
Urgency begins replacing importance.
Movement without a destination creates scattered progress.
Success today can create weakness tomorrow without systems and structure.
What you will build
Know where you are going.
Create rules for better decisions.
Turn strategy into disciplined action.
Build assets that become stronger with time.

Your time horizon changes your decisions.
Key idea
Short-term thinking prioritizes immediate results, while long-term thinking focuses on what can become. A bigger future requires you to look beyond today.
Your exercise
Assess how you currently think about key areas of your life. Be honest and specific.
Where do I focus only on the next few weeks or months?
Where should I take a 3–5 year perspective?
What current decisions might my future self have to pay for?
What decision will I approach differently with a longer horizon?
From today, I will start thinking longer about… because I want to create… in the next 3–5 years.
The Algorithm of the Long Game / Module 02 of 05
From ambition to a clear direction.
Key idea
A clear direction turns good intentions into better decisions. A clear map helps you focus, say no to the wrong opportunities, and allocate resources to what matters.
Your exercise
Define your destination, priorities, and key milestones. Be honest and specific.
Where do I want to be in 3–5 years?
What are the 3–5 most important areas to focus on?
What needs to be true for my vision to become reality?
What are the key milestones over the next 1, 3, and 5 years?
Write a short summary of your long game map and the next milestone that matters.
The Algorithm of the Long Game / Module 03 of 05
Better decisions. A stronger journey.
Key idea
A system helps you make better decisions, protects your direction, and filters opportunities. It lets you stay focused on what matters and avoid distractions.
Your exercise
Create your decision filters and test them on a real opportunity.
What 3–5 principles will guide my important decisions?
What questions will I ask before saying yes to a new opportunity?
Apply your filters to one current opportunity. Does it belong in my long game?
What low-value commitments or distractions will I avoid or reduce?
Summarize how you will use your system from today.
The Algorithm of the Long Game / Module 04 of 05
Turn your strategy into real progress.
Key idea
A vision becomes real through consistent action. Focus on what you can build in the next 90 days. Discipline turns your direction into visible progress.
Your exercise
Turn your long game direction into a clear and actionable 90-day plan.
What is the one most important outcome I want in the next 90 days?
What are the 3–5 key milestones?
What actions will I take each week?
What simple metrics will show that I am moving forward?
What could get in the way and how will I prepare?
Write your personal commitment for the next 90 days.
The Algorithm of the Long Game / Module 05 of 05
Build today what becomes more valuable tomorrow.
Key idea
The strongest long games create assets that compound. Knowledge, relationships, reputation, capital, and systems can become more valuable when you build intentionally.
Your exercise
Identify what can compound in your life and business. Be specific and practical.
What knowledge or skills am I building that will become more valuable?
Which relationships can I invest in that may create future opportunities?
What do I want my name to represent in 3–5 years?
What financial or business assets can I build?
What systems can I create now that will continue to deliver value?
Write one key action you will take in the next 90 days to strengthen an area that can compound.
Workshop complete
You defined a longer horizon, mapped where you are going, created filters for your decisions, converted direction into execution, and identified what can compound. Now stay with the system long enough for the system to work.
Build a system capable of creating a better future.
